Choco-caramel marshmallow cake

Another day off means another day to bake!
Today I deciced to try my luck on a cake again, since the last time I've made a cake was a long time ago!

Wanting to try out some new flavours, I choose to go with a choco-caramel marshmallow cake and after going on a two hour hunt for golden syrup, which apparently no one in Holland knows about, I finally was able to start my little project:

Vanilla sponge cake topped with caramelsauce and marshmallow filling and topped off with choco-caramel frosting.. hmmmmm

 

Super Simple Rocky Road Recipe

 

My all time favourite, super simple, chocolate recipe for Rocky Road! (about 20 pieces)

 

Ingrediënts:

 

- 400 grams of dark chocolate (or milk if you prefer)

- 1 bag (about 250 grams) of marshmallows (cut into four)

- 1 roll of plain bisquits (broken into little pieces)

 

 

How to:

Melt your chocolate au bain marie and let it cool a little.

Then mix in the pieces of bisquits untill all of them are covered with choclate.

Using a spoon, gently mix in your pieces of marshmallow (you could ofcourse use mini-marsmallows if you prefer) but leave a few behind for decoration.

Put your batter into a baking tin in any shape, size or form you like and smooth it out.

Lastly put on the left over marshmallows en leave to cool! Cut it up into pieces the size you like and enjoy!
